Employment

  • The Marshall County Highway Department is taking applications to fill a part-time opening with possibility of becoming full-time motor-grader position for the Eden shop. This would require summer and winter road maintenance, ditch mowing, truck driving with CDL, and general equipment maintenance. Person located in or near Eden would be preferred. Applications will be required to take a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and hired employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.   • Applications are being accepted for immediate fill-in dispatcher and also a full-time dispatcher in the near future. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with good listening skills and be able to multi-task, must be able to be certified within one year of hire, must submit to a hearing and drug test.   • Part-time Marshall County Deputy in Treasurer’s Office. The position will be 20 hours per week.  Benefits include SD Retirement, ½ health insurance premium, and ½ sick/vacation leave.  Additional hours will be the last week of April and the last week of October, as well as other days we deem necessary.  You will fill in for vacation and sick days. Flexibility is very important.  Requirements are working well with the public and above average computer skills.  Applications are available at the Marshall County Treasurers Office or the Auditor’s Office.  Closing Date is January 23, 2020.  Starting pay depends on experience.  EOE
